Today SXSW Interactive features BlogHer's participation at the conference in a nice little blurb.
SXSW stepped up to the plate specifically seeking proposals from BlogHers, and then really came through. Their schedule is jam-packed with sessions proposed and led by women.
Will we see you in Austin this March?

Remember Debi Jones' suggestion from the closing session that we make it our business to descend on conferences and make the BlogHer presence felt? Well, don't forget there are two conferences that are begging to be descended upon with their special BlogHer rates! See the extended body for more details on SXSW and BlogOn 2005 special BlogHer offers.
BTW: have you checked out the Speaker Wiki that Mary Hodder suggested in our closing session and subsequently created with SocialText's help? It's awesome, and now there's a page for people to post Speaking Opportunities. There are already several up there. Check it out!
If you weren't there I think you can tell some good ideas were tossed around in that closing session!

Asked to sum up BlogHer Conference '05 for The San Francisco Chronicle's page one story yesterday, co-Founder Elisa Camahort said, "This is a conference that the community built." (Read Carrie Kirby's story here).
Brilliant woman. Here's some (further) proof below. I rolled out of bed this morning to a mind-boggling 1,000+ photos and hundreds of your posts and have been giggling, exclaiming and, frankly, tearing up ever since. Here's a starter list of links to your writing for your recommendations and improvements:
This is all the blogging I'm able to do today -- I'm digging in to read.
Thank you for the day that you created.

Featured Sponsor Pheedo has been cooking up a special plan ever since they agreed to sponsor our inaugural conference, and it has now been unveiled. Pheedo has introduced the Pheedo BlogHer Ad Network.
If you host ads on either you blog or in your RSS feed, or if you have been considering it, this ad network is one way to do that, and benefit BlogHer. Pheedo has agreed to split their portion of the ad revenues with BlogHer on an ongoing basis...helping us to plan for the next BlogHer and beyond! (Locations outside Silicon Valley? 2-day conferences? More scholarships?)
I decided to give this a try on my Worker Bees blog, and rather than write a dissertation here on how it works, I can point you to two other posts if you're interested:
Start here if you want a brief run-down of how the idea was born.
But, more importantly, read this post to see how it went when I went to sign up and get a step-by-step run-down of the process.
So check it out and let us know what you think of the idea.

BlogHer ain't Comdex, no doubledecker booths or brand new cars to win, but we will have some cool sponsors on the floor to check out.
We are thrilled to have a couple of several exhibiting sponsors who will be onsite at BlogHer:
UPDATED: Stop by our Book Table, where we'll have hand-selected titles relevant to our attendees, including some written by them! Provided by local independent bookseller:
***********************
UPDATED: Use COMMON.net's icebreaker tool, MORCA, to network with other BlogHer attendees through wireless laptops and other devices. Visit www.common.net before the conference, register to gain access to the MORCA link at the top of the page, and then build your networking profile. Other attendees at BlogHer will only see your “COMMON Ground,” or data about people, places and things you have in common and that will help you connect onsite. If you have any questions, we'll be onsite at BlogHer to help.
*************************
And say hi to Char and Alex at Web applications company
All companies will be demo-ing in our Vendor Alley, located next to the central atrium. You can't miss them. Come say hello.

Yes, Media Sponsor SXSW Interactive wants to let one lucky BlogHer in on the hippest conference action outside of BlogHer!
And stay tuned for more from SXSW Interactive, like a special BlogHer rate for all BlogHer attendees***.
*$300 value
**Must be present to win.
***The conference this time, not the dinner.
