And if you'd like a lower-key children's museum experience for toddlers, my nephew really loves the Palo Alto Junior Museum.

Also, I live near Santana Row, and it's a nice place to hang on a Sunday afternoon. There are tons of great restaurants, shops ranging from normal people range to high end, a farmer's market on Wed. and Sun. It's all outdoors and has offers lots of nice people-watching.

Here's a link to the racetrack map. You'll notice that it goes right past The Tech museum and any other good attraction downtown.

There's Paramount Great America in Santa Clara. NASA Ames Visitor Center in Mountain View. The Cantor Center for Visual Arts at Stanford University (Palo Alto) that has a Rodin Sculpture Garden (free admission). And for wine enthusiasts, you should check out the Santa Cruz Mountain Winegrowers' Association to see which local wineries have tasting rooms open on Sundays - the Thomas Fogarty Winery and the Picchetti Winery are two I know that are open and close by.

My mom called to warn me about this. She said parking will be a PITA. Carpool organizing time? I'll be coming from Willow Glenn.
